Attention all members of the 1983 and 1999 Girl's State Champion Basketball Teams.
This year is our high school's 50th year celebration, and with that we would like to celebrate our schools successes over the past 50 years. Your accomplishment as Girl's State Basketball Champions is one that we as a school are very proud of. We would like to recognize as many members (Coaches, players, managers) as possible at the halftime of our January 3rd Girl's Basketball game vs. Edgerton.
If you were a member of either or these teams please send your mailing and email address to Cheryl Ackley at McFarland High School as soon as you can. Cheryl's email address is cheryl_ackley@mcfarland.k12.wi.us.
Once we get a list of people able to make the event we will send you an outline for that night. We would like to do a pregame gathering with appetizers and punch at the high school and a half time recognition. If you know someone on either of these teams but you are not sure if they are on this alumni mailing list please forward this message on. We want as many people as possible to celebrate this night.

McFarland High School will celebrate 50 years in 2012-2013. The celebration will kick off during homecoming week, September 16-21, 2012, with a football game on September 21, 2012. Activities are being planned for the 2012-2013 school year culminating with a 2013 summer celebration. The committee would like to invite alumni and their families to participate.
- Homecoming 2012; Friday, September 21st: Alumni Band, Pig and Corn Roast, and special "Kick-off for the 50th Anniversary of MHS." Special class huddles after the game at various "establishments" in McFarland.
- Choral Concert in honor of our Past and Looking ahead to our Future: Monday Oct. 22, 2012. A special choral arrangement will be performed at this Concert that was commissioned by Taras Nahirniak. Incorporated within the arrangement will be the McFarland High School Alma Mater. The words for the MHS Alma Mater were written by Anne Pingel-Nichols.
- Instrumental Music "Band O'Rama": Saturday, February 16th at 7:30PM celebrating our rich musical history, featuring the Band Directors from our past and a special commissioned arrangement.
- MHS 50th Bash: July 20, 2013: Details to follow. This is a "you do not want to miss event!" Fun, games and camaraderie for ALL McFarland High School Alum, and families! Mark your calendars today, and plan on making what will no doubt be the "Event of the Summer" not only in Dane County, but the State of Wisconsin, if not our Nation!
