A Learning Community that is small enough to know you and your child, and big enough to provide enriched and extended learning and co-curricular offerings

Enjoy your exploration via the McFarland Primary School web pages.

A primary reason for parents making the decision to have their child attend McFarland Primary School (MPS) is due to its reputation of commitment to excellence; creating a learning environment composed of student  pride-care-compassion, professionalism of school  staff, and the ability of staff to support student success regardless of the unique educational profile each and every child brings to the learning environment.

One strategy to address the developmental needs of the "whole child", is to provide children opportunities to engage in both core curriculum and other academic experiences including related arts, enrichment programs,  special services and integrated technology, all which support and enhance student learning.

Parents can be assured staff engage in ongoing professional development.  Our school staff are considered to be highly qualified, committed to the sucess of all students, and committed to establishing meaningful relationships with students and their families.  Implementing what are considered to be "best practices" for teaching and learning is an expectation of staff, students and families at MPS.

Student support and student success is anchored in the high expectations established for families and staff; the expectation of having all students experience high quality achievement; providing an environment of support--challenges--respect; and holding ourselves accountable in all we do.  As young children continue along their educational career, their experiences and success at MPS compliment their educational journey through the K-12 McFarland School District.
