MHS Achieves Project Lead the Way Certification Recognition

McFarland High School has received full certification for their Project Lead the Way program, a middle and high school math, science, technology, engineering curriculum offered throughout the nation.

The primary purposes of the certification program are to recognize schools which have successfully demonstrated a commitment to the quality national standards of the Pathway to Engineering program, and to provide an opportunity for students to apply for college credit for selected PLTW courses.

The structured yet flexible high school program offers students in-depth, hand-on knowledge of engineering and technology-based careers.  The foundation courses include Introduction of Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering and Digital Electronics.  The goal is to encourage students to become interested in these fields and to consider such future study as pre-engineering and engineering technology.  Learn more at www.pltw.org
