Welcome! I have been a 6th-grade teacher at IMMS since the spring of 2014. Prior to working here, I taught four years of middle school math at Ss. Andrew-Thomas School in Potosi, WI. In July of 2019, I graduated from Viterbo University with my Master's of Arts in Education-Innovative Teacher Leadership and Instructional Coaching. I have a passion for education and middle-level students. Both bring me happiness and a sense of curiosity.
Outside of the classroom, I take pride in cheering on Wisconsin sports teams, with the Badgers and the Packers at the top of my list. I enjoy all athletics in general and appreciate the lessons they teach. This has sparked my interest in coaching. I have coached basketball and volleyball at various levels, and currently am a Freshmen girls volleyball coach at McFarland High School, a position I have held since 2018.
I also love traveling and have toured France, Italy, Ireland, and in 2017 had the opportunity to teach for two weeks in China. Among the many unforgettable opportunities was the chance to climb the Great Wall and it was incredible! The professional connections I made and the cultural experiences I had were invaluable.
Feel free to check out the 6th-grade web page for quick links and an overview of all the rockin' things we will be learning this year! This will be your best school year yet!
