Hello! I am one of the Marketing and Business Educators at McFarland High School. I primarily teach the marketing coursework, but have taught a variety of business courses over the nine years I have been at McFarland High School. I am the primary DECA Advisor and School Store (Spartan Headquarters) supervisor. Here's a little bit about me and my classes:
Classes: In the classroom my students will learn real-life practices from businesses around the world. They will complete interactive and project based assessments while learning how to communicate professionally. I use Google Classroom as my primary tool to hand out information and turn in assessments.
Organizations: I am super passionate about DECA which is our high school's business and marketing student organization. This organization has over 110 members and attends many conferences and competitions throughout the year. The primary focus is to be an extension of the classroom where students can apply their knowledge from their coursework and compete against others around the world. Students have the opportunity to gain leadership skills, compete in various events, network with other students in DECA,
Personal: Growing up in a small town, I love the feel of McFarland. It definitely feels like home to me and I'm excited to be raising my family in McFarland. I have a baby girl, Alyvia, who is probably one of the happiest babies. I completed my Bachelor's of Science in Marketing and Business Education from UW-Stout and decided to go back to receive my Master's Degree in Career and Technical Education in 2016. I am a life-long learner who enjoys learning new technology and how businesses function.
