McFarland High School graduation requirements include completion of a portfolio and participation in an exit interview. Below you will find links to documents that should help you in your preparation. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Brady in Room 106.
Remember, your portfolio should answer the following
- Who are you?
- Where are you going?
- How are you getting there?
Beyond the specific portfolio requirements identified in the checklists below, include anything that says something about you.

Common Portfolio Questions
Is the portfolio scored?
The portfolio is not scored, but rather judged on its completeness. Assuming that the submitted portfolio meets the established criteria (see Portfolio Checklist), the portfolio will be considered complete.
What should students be doing now to get started?
Students should look at the portfolio requirements, start collecting the items already completed in classes, and think ahead about what items they might want to include as time goes on.
What if a student is graduating early?
Early graduates would complete a portfolio by the end of Semester 1; Senior Exit Interviews are scheduled for mid-year for early graduates.
