Students will have the opportunity to experience live virtual lessons (synchronous) on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday during their assigned AM or PM times and on Wednesdays for related arts. Related arts learning days have a slightly altered schedule for students. Below you will find scheduled times for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday virtual homeroom learning experiences and the Wednesday Related Arts schedule. We’ve also included schedules for each grade level for your reference. These are only examples and your child(ren)’s schedule may vary from these.

Related Arts Information
Please be aware that related arts will remain virtual for students, on Wednesdays, until we move into Step 4 (Full-Day Cohort Model). A Related Arts Rotation Schedule is provided through this link. |
Virtual Learning Definitions and Expectations
Live Learning Sessions (Synchronous)
Since live online learning sessions are new for everyone, we thought it would be important to share with families what these sessions might look like, so those supporting children at home or daycare have an idea of what is happening. We would also encourage everyone to review the daily schedule provided in the folder so everyone knows what’s coming up for the day.
- Each session will have a short teacher lead portion (i.e. mini-lesson, daily schedule, expectation, etc.) (5-10 minutes in length)
- Students will begin to apply their learning and teachers will support and answer any questions.
- During a live session, students may have independent work time, 1:1 meetings with a teacher, or spend time working in a small group.
- Teachers will be on the video conference for the scheduled time, but will not necessarily be leading the group for that entire time.
- Students may have independent work to complete after the synchronous session is over.
Recorded Sessions (Asynchronous)
- Each day, students will have 1-2 asynchronous lessons to complete in addition to their live sessions. These lessons will all be available in student's Canvas courses. Students are expected to do their best to complete these lessons as they often will extend, or support the live learning sessions. If you have challenges completing any of the asynchronous lessons, please have your child reach out to their teacher using the Canvas Inbox.
- Related Arts lessons are to be completed throughout the week during times that work best for your family and child. If a schedule is something that would be beneficial for your child, the related arts team has provided one on the “Schedule” Page of the Related Arts Course in Canvas. This link will take you to a video the Related Arts teachers presented during their lesson last Wednesday.
